Industrial water softening systems remove water hardness through ion exchange resin, replacing ions such as calcium and magnesium with sodium. This process reduces scaling and improves the performance of treatment systems and industrial equipment.
Softened water can be used directly in various industrial processes or as pre-treatment before reverse osmosis systems, helping to minimise scaling risks and prolonging the lifespan of membranes and components.

How it works
The system uses ion exchange resin to capture minerals responsible for water hardness, such as calcium and magnesium. During the periodic regeneration process, the resin is restored with a brine solution, maintaining operational efficiency.
In addition to reducing hardness, the process also helps to decrease the presence of manganese and iron in certain applications, improving water quality for industrial use.
